Music drives me. I apreciate all types of music, though i tend to favorite Thrash Metal, i lived in Minnesota for first 13 yrs of my life in a small southern Town of Jackson. (Home of " Dave Ellifson" Megadeth) i listened to country, R&B but mostly listening to Rush, Kiss, Iron Maiden, spent 1 yr in Spokane, Wa. Expanded to WASP, Motley crue. Before moving to southern California, when i was 15, wow quite a shock for a midwestern country boy! Ha
my music interests shifted to the early 80's Metal scene; Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer. I met Jon Dette in high school he was a drummer in local thrash bands played cover tunes of Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, etc. we was amazing! Truely!
So my first Thrash concert was Megadeth they played at a small venue La Paloma theater in Encinitas " a fucking movie theater" id say 500 people max i was so excited knowing the bass player grew up in the same small town, i was determand to meet him! Well never have, but at the end of the show Mustaine was shakining hands with the crowd my hand was up there and i latched on to Daves hand i heard pull him, as the crowd push forward i put my foot on the stage and launched myself back still holding on to Dave down he comes my friend Jon dette was there and recalls seeing Nothing but Daves high tops. We got him back on stage and he gaves us typical fuck you finger, as he walked off stage. So after high school Dette and i lost touch busy with life i would see his brother around from time to time and ask about jon. then Facebook came out . Jon and i cought up and he plays for Anthrax, Slayer, Tesament, Iced Earth, ive seen him play 3 times now 2 with Anthrax, 1 with Iced Earth
The same bands we saw as kids together, im watching him drum for fucking awesome!
